Ishmael Tribe

In the Bible But not in the Quran (61): Was Ishmael Wild Donkey or Messenger and Prophet? a
The Bible is very confusing about the title of Ishmael. In Genesis 16:12, the Bible (19 different versions) says that Ishmael is a wild donkey; no he is like a wild donkey. Oops! He is a wild ass; no he is like a wild ass. Oh! Sorry! He is a bucking bronco. Actually, he is a wild man!
The Bible keeps bringing shame on the Messengers and Prophets. We have seen in this series that the Bible dishonors Abraham, Noah, Lot, King David and King Solomon; and herein, the Bible does the same with Ishmael. On the other hand, the Noble Quran states that Ishmael is a Messenger and a Prophet. Only one of these two titles of Ishmael is truthful and will lead you to the Paradise and the vice versa!

What is the title of Ishmael in the Bible?
Genesis 16:12 gives the title of Ishmael in the Bible.
Herein, I will give you an example about the corruption of the translations of the Bible. I have referred to 19 different versions of the Bible looking for the translation of one word only; it is “wild X”.
Herein, X stands for a donkey in some versions, an ass in other versions, a bronco in one version and it also stands for a man in some other versions.
This indicates that the translators of the Bible do not know the linguistic difference between the donkey and the ass and the bronco and the man.
The following are how the 19 different versions of the Bible translate the Title of Ishmael according to Genesis 16:12:
—————
Ishmael is a wild donkey in six versions:
New International Version: He will be a wild donkey of a man;
New American Standard Bible: He will be a wild donkey of a man;
New Life Version: He will be a wild donkey of a man.
Today’s New International Version: He will be a wild donkey of a man;
New International Version – UK: He will be a wild donkey of a man;
English Standard Version: He shall be a wild donkey of a man,
—————
Actually, Ishmael is not a wild donkey but he is like a wild donkey, (in three versions).
New Century Version: Ishmael will be like a wild donkey.
New International Reader’s Version: He will be like a wild donkey.
Contemporary English Version: But your son will live far from his relatives; he will be like a wild donkey,
—————
No Ishmael is a wild ass (in four versions)
Amplified Bible: And he [Ishmael] will be as a wild ass among men;
Darby Translation: And he will be a wild-ass of a man,
American Standard Version: And he shall be as a wild ass among men;
Young’s Literal Translation: And he is a wild-ass man,
—————
Oh! Sorry! Ishmael is not a wild ass but he is like a wild ass (in one version)
Holman Christian Standard Bible: This man will be [like] a wild ass.
—————
Nope! Ishmael is a bucking bronco (in one version)
The Message: He’ll be a bucking bronco of a man,
—————
No. No. No. Ishmael is a wild man (in three versions)
King James Version: And he will be a wild man;
New King James Version: He shall be a wild man;
21st Century King James Version: And he will be a wild man.
—————
What a Shame! You guys do not know the linguistic difference between the donkey, the ass, the bronco and the man. This is too much! One has to resolve this silly problem.
I am here; this is my correct translation:
Ishmael is a wild man, as untamed as a wild donkey! How great!
New Living Translation: This son of yours will be a wild man, as untamed as a wild donkey!

He is a Messenger and a Prophet.
Verses 19:54-55 give an idea about who is Ishmael
Verses 19:54 says:
And mention in the Book Ishmael. Indeed he was true to his promise; he was a keeper of his promise, whenever he promised he kept his promise; he never promised anything which he did not fulfill; he once waited for three days for someone whom he had promised to meet; and he was a messenger of Allah to his people, to the tribe of Jurhum, and he was a prophet likewise informing on behalf of Allah.
Verses 19:55 says:
He was righteous, he enjoined upon his people worship and perfection of the prayer and the payment of alms, by giving the poor-due, and he was pleasing to his Lord and he was acceptable in the sight of his Lord.
—————
Verse 19:54-55 in different translations:
Verse 19:54
QARIB: and mention in the book, Ishmael; he too was true to his promise, a messenger and a prophet.
SHAKIR: and mention Ishmael in the book; surely he was truthful in (his) promise, and he was a messenger, a prophet
PICKTHAL: and make mention in the scripture of Ishmael. lo! he was a keeper of his promise, and he was a messenger (of Allah), a prophet.
YUSUFALI: also mention in the book (the story of) Ishmael: he was (strictly) true to what he promised, and he was a messenger (and) a prophet.
Verse 19:55
QARIB: and he ordered his people to pray and to give charity and his lord was pleased with him.
SHAKIR: and he enjoined on his family prayer and almsgiving, and was one in whom his lord was well pleased
PICKTHAL: he enjoined upon his people worship and almsgiving, and was acceptable in the sight of his lord.
YUSUFALI: he used to enjoin on his people prayer and charity, and he was most acceptable in the sight of his lord.

Now, we have two different titles for Ishmael in Bible versus Quran.
One title dishonors him while the other honors him very much.
According to the Noble Quran, it is a very big sin that leads to the Eternal Hell in the hereafter is to say or to believe anything which dishonors any Messenger and/or any Prophet (Ishmael was both Messenger and Prophet).
On the other hand, the Bible keeps bringing shame on the Messengers and Prophets. We have seen in this series that the Bible dishonors Abraham, Noah, Lot, King David and King Solomon; and herein, the Bible does the same with Ishmael.
Only one of these two titles of Ishmael is truthful and will lead you to the Paradise and the vice versa!
To conclude, anyone does say or believe in anything which dishonors any Messenger and/or any Prophet will end up in the Eternal Hell in the Hereafter.

Inventing America’s Worst Family: Eugenics, Islam, and the Fall and Rise of the Tribe of Ishmael $19.33 This book tells the stranger-than-fiction story of how a poor white family from Indiana was scapegoated into prominence as America’s “worst” family by the eugenics movement in the early twentieth century, then “reinvented” in the 1970s as part of a vanguard of social rebellion. In what becomes a profoundly unsettling counter-history of the United States, Nathaniel Deutsch traces how the Ishmaels, … |
